With the success of their workshop, It’s Not Your Grandmother’s Data Science Anymore, Introspective Systems is launching a new quarterly seminar series called Edge Talk beginning in May. The seminars are intended to simplify complicated technical subjects such as artificial intelligence, data science, blockchain, and data analytics, by presenting them in an easy-to-understand manner.
The workshops are free and will include lunch. The format will generally feature a brief presentation followed by robust discussion and Q&A.
“We wanted to give back to the business community by sharing our expertise on subjects that aren’t typically offered in the local area,” said, Kay Aikin, CEO. “We feel it’s important to do our part and help build a community of knowledge sharing in Southern Maine.”
Initially, Introspective Systems will use members from its own technical staff as presenters but will eventually invite speakers from other firms to participate.
The next Edge Talk, AI is the New Bacon, will explore differences between general and specific artificial intelligence applications and some of the many ways it can be used to solve complex problems in business. The event will take place on May 15 at noon. For information and registration click here.
