Dynamic Grid Systems will rebuild a small Maine utility from the ground up
Isle au Haut is a small island in the Gulf of Maine, about six miles offshore. Primarily a summer residence, the island has power delivered to the local utility via a sub-sea cable and is not a unique situation, except for two factors.
At summer’s peak, Isle au Haut Electric Power Company (IaHEPC) boasts 140 electric subscribers. And the cable which delivers its power is expected to fail at any time. Read the complete article here.
